The renovation involves two out of six floors of a very old and irregular building in critical condition. The spa, originally located on the first floor, has been extended to the ground floor, which required some major structural adjustment. Spa and wellness facilities are widely spread in all South East Asia and represent an important part of this culture. Therefore, the project aims to combine old traditions and a new contemporary feeling. This effect is achieved by playing with soft lights, natural materials such as bamboo and natural stone, and a selection of local furniture, in order to offer a relaxing and unique experience to both local and foreign guests.
